Good evening. Summer Camp is quickly approaching. As you are aware, camp is scheduled for June 6-12th at Camp Rainey Mountain in Clayton, GA. As always, adult leaders are needed to attend and provide assistance. We are in need of volunteers for the full or partial week. If you are interested in attending this adventure, please let me know by February 22nd. Indicate if you can attend the entire week or partial week. If partial week, please specify the days you can attend.
Leaders’ fees are $155 ($120 for BSA & $35 for troop). Fees for Adults are due by May 10th. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to call or email. Thank you.

Summer is fast approaching and our boys will once again be off to camp. As voted on by the Troop, we will be vacationing June 6-12th at Camp Rainey Mountain in Clayton, GA. Information about the property can be found at http://www.nega-bsa.org/camp_rainey_mountain2.htm. The basic fee for camp is $205. Payment will be made in three installments. Dates are driven by BSA. First installment of $75 is due by February 1st. Second installment of $75 is due by April 1st. Final installment of $55 is due by May 28th. Missing a payment date will result in late fees for your Scout (BSA driven again).
If your son does not plan to attend this event, please let me know in person or by email. If he does plan to attend, read on.
Please mark the following key dates on your calendar:
Opportunities to make first installment:
- Monday, January 18th at the Scout Hut 7-8pm, each scout to make first installment of $75 (No Scout Meeting – PLC meeting only, but I’ll be there)
- Monday, January 25th at the Scout Hut during meeting, each scout to make first installment of $75 (Regular Scout Meeting)
- Monday, February 1st at the Scout Hut during meeting, each scout to make first installment of $75 (Regular Scout Meeting)
- (New Webelos Crossover Scouts and Adult fees to be paid at a later date TBD).
The submittal of the first payment is crucial. We get our Username and Password needed to register for courses upon timely submittal.
Submit Course/Activities Requests:
- February meetings and via email. Must be completed by February 22nd. I will discuss options during our January 25th meeting and provide additional information and forms via email at a later date.
- Go to http://www.nega-bsa.org/PDF/Camp%20Files/CRM_Program_2010_p14-p39_rev.12.16.09.pdf and review the course offerings prior to January 25th. Please note some courses/activities require additional fees. Please note some courses/activities have age and/or other restriction.
Annual swim certification to be scheduled.
Submittal dates of medical forms and other forms TBD.
