July Summer Camp
We left the Scout Hut early Sunday morning. We drove 6 hours to Camp Raven Knob. We slept in platform tents with cots and mattresses! The staff fed us real food. We did a bunch of activities like, merit badges, free swim, free shoot, and the Trading post. We played a lot of badminton at the camp site. The water at the Aquatics area was freezing. Too bad they didn’t offer the polar plunge!
While we were there, our troop naiked the Campsite inspections everyday and accomplished all 11 requirements for Honor Troop! Keeping the Tradition going.
At night in our bunks, many of us played BS, Slap-Jack, Black-Jack, ERS (Egyptian Rat Slap). On Saturday, we packed up and left. On the long drive back, I could hardly keep awake. We got back to the Scout Hut at about 2:00pm.
