September - Camp Daniel Boone and Outdoor Simulated Sky Diving!

We met at the Scout Hut at 6:30 Friday afternoon and arrived at Camp Daniel Boone very late. We stayed in adirondacks but patrol which was cool. Saturday morning the troop split into two groups. One group went to the skydiving building while the other group did a 4 mile day hike and worked on knots. Then during the second half of the day, the groups swapped activities.

In the Skydiving facility there was a really big fan that pushed you into the air. We had to wear skydiving suits, goggles, and a helmet. Mr. O’Hara was the expert, but it was his third time. Everyone had flappy cheeks, but our SPL, Tyler Watson, won the flappiest cheeks award! Mitch Griggs was the Star of the Day. He did it all so easily. And we thought that Eric Scott, all 60 pounds of him, was going to fly away. I was worried that the fan wouldn’t pick up my dad. Woowe!

We were exhausted when we got back to camp. We ate dinner and hick the cots pretty early.

We left Sunday and got back to the Scout Hut late in the afternoon.
